Nestled in the vibrant heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Sirocco Restaurant & Bar offers a modern Australian dining experience that beautifully marries fresh, locally-inspired ingredients with a sophisticated yet approachable atmosphere. Located at 575 Flinders Lane, this restaurant provides a welcoming space perfect for everything from casual all-day dining to more refined dinners that linger pleasantly on the palate.
The culinary offerings at Sirocco shine through with a thoughtfully curated menu that celebrates both classic and contemporary flavors. Start your day with their Healthy Smoothie Bowl—a refreshing medley of banana, strawberries, roasted coconut, and almond milk that bursts with vitality and freshness. For a heartier breakfast, the Open Faced Omelette with chorizo, onion, and capsicum delivers a robust flavor profile, while the Holiday Inn Buffet Breakfast next door offers a satisfying variety of traditional warm dishes and pastries to fuel your morning.
As the day unfolds, the All Day Dining Menu showcases dishes that balance comfort with creativity. The Caesar Salad is elevated with anchovies, shaved parmesan, and a soft poached egg that adds a luscious richness. Meanwhile, the Satay Chicken paired with a peanut sauce and crisp cucumber salad provides a delightful, savory punch, and the Pulled Pork Sliders with beetroot relish combine smoky, sweet, and tangy notes that satisfy every craving.
When the evening rolls in, Sirocco’s Dinner Menu truly comes alive. Delight in the Five Spice Duck Leg, accompanied by poached pear and a fresh apple walnut salad that harmonizes savory and sweet. Seafood lovers will appreciate the Butter Poached King Prawns—plump and tender, they nestle alongside avocado, crab, and brioche croutons, finished with a vibrant gazpacho that excites the senses. For those preferring lighter fare, the Broad Beans and Chickpea Falafel with harissa and minted yogurt offers a fragrant and satisfying plant-based option.
Ambiance at Sirocco strikes a comfortable, inviting tone, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Customers often praise the relaxed environment—perfect for working quietly with a notebook as Lucy mentions, or enjoying a leisurely Christmas lunch expertly hosted by friendly staff like Sandra. The seating is notably comfortable, encouraging diners to savor each bite and conversation at their own pace. While some note there is room to enhance the restaurant’s atmosphere and vegetarian variety, the overall experience remains genuinely warm, and the desserts consistently receive raves as indulgent highlights to any meal.
Many appreciate the approachable price point, especially considering the quality and service provided, with Mark noting the value is heightened by the venue’s connection to the hotel above. This sensible pricing paired with excellent food makes Sirocco a dependable choice for both casual diners and those seeking a refined evening out in Melbourne.
Whether you're after a hearty all-day meal, a cozy spot to enjoy modern Australian cuisine, or a dessert that leaves a lasting impression, Sirocco Restaurant & Bar invites you to experience their carefully crafted menus and welcoming vibe—a true gem nestled within the city.

Really lovely and comfortable environment to dine in, had a wonderful Christmas lunch! Sandra was an amazing host she was extremely kind and helpful she made our experience a wonder. Chairs are very very comfortable and the desserts were to die for! Only problem I can find with food is a slight lack of vegetarian options but overall had a delightful time and would definitely recommend :)

I was a little more prepared for my order than the waiter, yet they still got it down and correct. Steak was very slightly overdone. I asked for Medium as it was dry aged Beef. Rest of meal, sides and drink service was good. Prices are actually lowish but I guess they are bolstered by the hotel above.

Eaten there very often. Restaurant in located in the Holiday Inn.The food is excellent and the desserts to die for. Very reasonable prices, but better ambience and some atmosphere would get them more customers.
